Funding Support

Depending on your eligibility and age of your child you will have access to 15 or 30 hours funding support from the local authority, this amount is then deducted from the listed fees above. We can help guide you through this process and once your application is made we will add this deduction to your fees.

For example, 15 hours entitlement for a 2 year old attending 3 full days per week:

Per day £95 – Per week £285 – Per month £1,140 – Actual fee per month (15 hours applied) £711.36.

If you were to be eligible for 30 hours, the actual fee per month could be £342.34.*

Your free entitlement funding from the local authority covers term time only (i.e. 38 weeks of the year). We charge a fee for session time in excess of the free entitlement hours and beyond the scope of statutory care.

Funding Reach and Scope

Whilst the Government funding is structured for 38 weeks of the year (school term time), as an all-year-round childcare provider we recognise that parents working needs may go beyond this, therefore we stretch the early years funding across 50.5 weeks instead of limiting it to the 38 weeks of term time. The 1.5 week unfunded period is over Christmas and New year when we are closed.

The funding covers statutory childcare as detailed in the early years foundation stage framework between the hours of 08.00 and 14.00., not within the statutory scope are services such as food, consumables or any additional activities, all services that we offer at Mother Bear and included in our fees. Registration Fee

A non-refundable £50 administrative and set-up payment is required to register your child.

Deposit payment

There is a £200 deposit fee is payable when registering to secure your place, this fee is deducted from your last month’s payment upon leaving.

Settling-In Fees

First settling in session is free, following days or half days are charged at our standard daily rate accordingly.

Late Pick-Up Fee

• Charged at £10 per 10 mins beyond scheduled pick-up time.

• Parents/carers must notify the nursery as early as possible if delayed.

• This fee is donated to one of our supported charities and does not generate profit.
